Where all the bird news comes to roost!
Do not adjust your screen! Morty has it on good authority that Sherri’s Alexa Tablet is conspiring to ‘help’ Sherri publish new writings IN FRENCH! It seems Morty’s Alexa, who’s always one step ahead, has passed on her mischievous (some may say devious) behaviours to Sherri’s device (what could possibly go wrong…).
Aside from Sherri’s Alexa trials, Morty also regales us on his ongoing strife with his demonic technological nemesis. Check out April’s Morty’s Column here.
In our April issue, Sherri reminds all who share their home and life with birds that when we get sick, our birds react in different, and often negative ways to our illness. Sherri experienced a very nasty bout with two viruses over a few weeks and as she recuperated, Sherri took notice of how her illness affected Bubbles in a more direct and somewhat serious way. Zack on the other hand was attuned such human frailties and takes moms sicknesses in relatively good stride.

The March edition of News On The Wing is chock full of interesting and important information, collected from social media over the last month. Articles reflect wildlife and conservation issues affecting species and ecosystems around the world.
Some issues are hard and troubling while some, like the following from Twitter’s @scamperspets share an important message in a very endearing way.

In Sherri’s latest submission, she finds herself wondering the extent to which Alexa (or possibly Skynet itself) knows all her secrets. With her tablet mysteriously booting up and files being moved about, Sherri suspects that all this nefarious business is at the behest, or the invisible hand, of Alexa.
But perhaps even worse, Alexa may be using Sherri’s own secrets, secrets only Bubbles and Zack know, to tailor search results and lead her down murky web paths.
